SUMMARY:CT Trails Day Weekend- Nature Walk/Trail-Cleanup/Hike
DESCRIPTION:Take a hike along the Housatonic River in New Milford’s Sega Meadows Park and help clean up litter and debris to beautify this gem. Your trail clean-up leader is well versed in the plants and trees as well as animal species found in the park\, so you are guaranteed to come out with a sense of accomplishment and a little nature knowledge to go with it. This is a moderate walk/hike with approximately 20-30 feet of elevation change from the bank of the river to the parking area. Sturdy shoes\, water\, a snack\, and some work gloves are recommended for participation. The entire loop around the park is around 2 miles.Meeting location: 300 Kent Rd. New Milford (parking lot next to Good Eats Restaurant and in front of the historic Old Boardman Bridge).

Ages include families and children ages 5 and up. This is a great opportunity to give your children the tools they need to stay safe. Attendees will have a chance to win door prizes\, including a bicycle helmet and lights.
