Watch for Me CT Road Safety 101

August 6 @ 6:00 pm 7:30 pm

2024 is on pace to be the most dangerous year for pedestrians in over 40 years. As the days get shorter, the danger only increases, as pedestrian deaths are more likely to happen when it’s dark out. Traditionally, roads are designed for speed, with wide lanes and smoothed out curves. That’s great for drivers, but not so much for pedestrian and bicyclists, who do not have a car to protect them. We need to do a better job looking out for vulnerable road users, who are far more likely to get seriously injured or killed on the roadway. Come join us on August 6th for Road Safety 101, a program that will give you the tools to be safe both as pedestrian and a driver around non-motorized road users.
